James A. Visioli serves as an Alderman in the Town of Dover. He is the longest tenured Alderman in Dover history, serving over 22 years in that capacity. A Dover resident for more than 55 years and a graduate of the Dover Public School System: Mr. Visioli furthered his technical studies and is a graduate of Newark Industrial Technical Institute and Stevens Institute of Technology. He is the recipient of the “District Award of Merit” from the Boy Scouts of America. He is retired from Northrop Grumman Corporation where he was the Director of Operations for the microwave aerospace defense division.

In addition to serving as a Dover Alderman, he also serves on the Dover Planning Board and has served on the Board of Adjustment as well. In his tenure he has chaired the Fire, Police, Economic Development, Finance, Engineering, Code Enforcement Committees, and as liaison the Dover Board of Education.

He is an avid outdoorsman, a member of the Dover Historical Society, East Dover Social Club, and Sacred Heart Church finance committee.
