Public Notice: Public Hearings Scheduled for “Procedure for Considering Proposals to Amend the Highlands Regional Master Plan” - (8/25/2017) The Highlands Council has scheduled six public hearings to solicit public comment on a draft procedure for considering proposals to amend the Highlands Regional Master Plan. Highlands Council helps preserve 116 acres in Kinnelon Borough - (7/7/2017) The Highlands Council recently completed a transaction that will allow Kinnelon Borough to permanently protect 116 acres around Untermeyer Lake. Other partners in the project include The Trust for Public Land (TPL), the Morris County Preservation Trust, and the Morris County Board of Freeholders. (read)

Press Release: Highlands Council Awarded $2.4M for Preservation through Federal Highlands Conservation Act - (1/30/2017) The Highlands Water Protection and Planning Council was recently notified of a $2,420,000 award that will be used to help preserve more than 270 acres in portions of the Passaic and Wallkill Watershed Management Areas of the New Jersey Highlands Region.
